STRAIGHTS

              PEANUTS

Peanut kernels are a great versatile source of nutrition for birds and wildlife.

Full of calories, rich in oils, fat and protein they provide an instant high energy food that can be fed all year round.

Watchers peanuts are tested to within permitted EEC safety standards, and are certified free from harmful levels of aflatoxin.

If fed as bird food the whole kernels are best offered from wire mesh feeders.

                     PEANUT GRANULES

They give a very nutritious nibble-sized feed accessible to a greater number of birds. Hedgehogs love them as well.

Small bag: £1-75p, Large bag: £6-95p, 25kg sack: £39-50p

              BLACK SUNFLOWER SEED

               NYGERSEED

An oil rich seed with tonic properties.

Nigerseed (Nyjerseed) is taken by a range of finches, but is irresistible to goldfinches in particular because of its similarity to thistleseed which they feed on in the wild. Because the seed is so fine it is best fed from a special feeder.

                Small bag: £1-75p, Large bag: £6-95p, 25kg sack: £39-50p

               HEMPSEED

Most seed-eating birds find this high oil seed irresistible, especially the finch family members, Greenfinch, Bullfinch and Chaffinch.

Because of the high levels of fat and oil, beware of over-feeding this seed.

             Small bag: £1-50p, Large bag: £5-95, 15kg sack: £19-50p

               MEALWORMS (Freeze dried)

Dried mealworms are a highly nutritious food source for birds, being packed full of protein, retaining a good fat              percentage, and have an energy value of 504 calories/100gms.
